Effective 2 October 2026
This policy explains what personal information Conker (“we”, “us”) collects, why we collect it, how long we keep it, and who we share it with. It applies to conker.ca, to the Conker service, and to the text messages we send on behalf of the businesses that use Conker.
The short version for text messages. Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent are never sold, rented, or shared with third parties for marketing purposes. We share a phone number only with the technical providers that are required to deliver the message itself, and only for that purpose.

We are the party responsible for the personal information described in this policy. For information handled on behalf of a business that uses Conker, that business is the controlling party and we act as its service provider.
We do not use the phone numbers of a customer’s callers to market Conker, and we do not build advertising profiles from them.
If you connect your Google account to the Conker dashboard, Conker reads your Google Business Profile figures and reviews, only to show them in your dashboard. Conker does not read your Google Calendar, and it does not show that calendar in the dashboard. Appointments you or your team add on Today, and the bookings and reminders Conker adds for a job, are kept on the Conker calendar. Conker does not write them to Google Calendar. A new Reviews connection asks for business.manage. Where Google Calendar was already granted, calendar.events and calendar.readonly may still be on that grant; Conker does not use them. Conker never posts a review reply or changes your Google Business Profile unless you press a button that says so. Your Google keys are stored encrypted, are used only for these purposes, are never sold or shared, and are deleted when you disconnect. Conker’s use of information received from Google APIs complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. You can remove Conker’s access at any time at myaccount.google.com under third-party apps.
If you connect your Microsoft account — Outlook.com or Microsoft 365 — to the Conker dashboard, Conker does not read that account’s calendars and does not show them in the dashboard. Appointments you or your team add on Today, and the bookings and reminders Conker adds for a job, are kept on the Conker calendar. Conker does not write them to Outlook. If you also connect your Outlook inbox, Conker reads new messages in it so that enquiries appear in your Conker inbox. Conker never sends, moves or deletes your mail, and never reads folders other than the inbox. The permission Conker asks for on the inbox is Mail.Read; the sign-in permissions openid, email and User.Read, which tell Conker only which account you connected; and offline_access, which lets Conker keep reading that inbox while the dashboard is closed, until you remove Conker. Your Microsoft keys are stored encrypted, are used only for these purposes, and are never sold or shared. You can remove Conker’s access at any time: for a personal Microsoft account at account.live.com/consent/Manage, and for a work or school account at myapps.microsoft.com.
When you start a job in your Conker dashboard, we store the customer’s name, phone number and email address on your behalf, along with what the job is and what has happened to it. This is your information, not ours: you tell us who on your team may see it and how long we keep it, you can remove any customer’s details at any time from the job, and we remove them ourselves once every job for that customer has been closed for longer than that period (two years unless you tell us otherwise). Conker keeps those appointments on the Conker calendar. Share calendar, where it is shown, gives the account owner a private link. Anyone with the link can see the appointment titles, which may include a customer’s name, and, for a booking, the address. Conker does not add notes, a customer’s phone number or email address, amounts, or reminders to invoice or to chase a payment; a title shows what was typed into it. When you subscribe, Apple, Google or Outlook store a copy. Resetting the link stops further updates and does not remove a copy those apps already have. If you remove a customer’s details, or we remove them because the time you keep them for has passed, a future booking or reminder stays on the Conker calendar with the title Appointment or Reminder and no address, and an entry for a job that was concluded, lost or cancelled is taken off Today and off the link. The address stored on the job is cleared, and a calendar line on the job no longer carries the customer’s name. The words of their original enquiry stay with the job; their name, number, email and address go. We never use your customers’ details for anything but running your account, we never sell or share them, and if we are ever asked for them by anyone else we will tell you. Records of who at Conker has opened your dashboard are shown to you under Settings.
Conker sends text messages on behalf of the business you contacted, from a number associated with that business. Messages are sent because you contacted that business first, or because you gave that business your consent by another route.
If you ask the business to remove your details, or they are removed because the work has been finished long enough, the words of the texts Conker sent, the words of your replies, and the number they were sent to, are removed from Conker with them. Each reply is also emailed to the business when it arrives, and removing your details does not reach back into those emails. The messaging provider that carries the texts keeps its own record of each one. A text you sent to the business’s voicemail line stays with the enquiry. If you had replied STOP, that request is kept, so you are not texted again from the number you replied to.
Full messaging terms are on our SMS Terms page.
We do not sell personal information, and we do not share mobile phone numbers or SMS consent with third parties for their own marketing.
We share information only with:
Information may be stored or processed in Canada and the United States. Where information crosses a border it stays subject to this policy and to contracts with our providers. We keep message and call records for as long as the relevant business remains a customer, and afterwards only as long as needed for legal, tax or dispute purposes. You may ask us to delete your information sooner.
We use encryption in transit, access controls, and least-privilege credentials for the tools we connect to. No system is perfectly secure, and we do not claim otherwise. If a breach affects you and creates a real risk of significant harm, we will notify you and the appropriate regulator.
Under Canadian privacy law, including PIPEDA and British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act, you may ask us to tell you what personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it, and you may withdraw consent at any time. Email hello@conker.ca and we will respond within 30 days. If you are unsatisfied you may complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.
Commercial messages we send on our own behalf identify us, give our contact details, and include a working unsubscribe. Replying to a message you started is not a commercial electronic message under CASL, but you can still stop it at any time with STOP.
Conker is a tool for businesses and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13.
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above. Material changes affecting how we use your information will be announced on this page before they take effect.
